With the Eastwood Troopers sitting in second place in the district and the Riverside Rangers winless in district play, many expected this to be a one-sided game.
The Rangers started with aggressive play and even had the lead for a couple of minutes in the first quarter. The Troopers then found their rhythm in the second quarter and went into halftime with a 31-21 lead.
The Rangers came out of the half with upset on their mind as they kept the third quarter close and tied the game, 51-51, with 3 minutes left in the game. With some clutch baskets by the player of the game, Rudy Carbajal who had 20 points, the Troopers were able to escape with a 61-54 victory over the Rangers.
The Troopers will conclude their regular season on Tuesday when they travel to Parkland to take on the Matadors. The Rangers will end their regular season when they take on the Horizon Scorpions on Tuesday
