Del Valle Opens District Play by Dominating El Dorado

On a rain soaked Friday Night from Conquest stadium The Del Valle Conquistadores dominated the visiting Eldorado Aztecs 42 -7. Del Valle would draw first blood on a Karch Gardiner run 48 Yard Touchdown Run giving the Conquistadores a 7-0 lead. On their ensuing possession Del Valle would use a 54 yard Raymond Montes pass to Danny Cortez to set up Raymond Montes’ First of four Touchdown carries on a 6 yard keeper to make the score 14 -0. Eldorado would answer on a Christian Gonzales touchdown run to cut the score to 14 -7 in the second quarter but that would be as close as the game got as Raymond Montez would connect with Danny Cortez for a 54 yard touchdown pass to make the score 21-7 at the half.

 

Raymond Montes would take over using his feet scoring 2nd half touchdowns using the zone-read of 45, 65, and 58 yards. In total Montes would finish the game with 8 carries for 210 yards and four rushing touchdowns and completing 12 of 22 passing for 242 yards 1 touchdown and 1 interception. In total Raymond Montes would account for 5 of 6 of Del Valle’s Touchdowns and 452 yards of total offense.

 

Next up for the Conquistadores will be their homecoming game verses Eastwood that will be pivotal district 1-5a game with both teams coming in riding wins and 1-0 district records. Eldorado will look for their first win of the season, as they will play winless Bel Air High School.
