Eagles Run Over Aztecs in Girls’ 5A Bidistrict Playoff Game 45-24

The Andress Eagles came into their Bidistrict matchup with El Dorado having rolled through District 1-5A, as for the Aztecs, they were strong, going 13-5 in District 2-5A to earn the fourth seed. 

The Eagles jumped out to quick 18-2 lead at the end of the first quarter.  They needed only seven points in the second quarter and led 25-4 at halftime.  Andress continued their domination, outscoring El Dorado 13-6 in the third quarter for the 38-10 lead.  The Aztecs were able to outscore the Eagles 14-7 in the fourth quarter as Andress rested their starters for the final margin of 45-24.

El Dorado ended their season 18-14 overall, 13-5 in District 2-5A.  Andress improved to 30-4 overall and will wait for the winner of Wylie vs Plainview tomorrow to determine their Area round opponent. 

Player of the Game Hannah Cooper of Andress led all scorers with 20 points.
