After a tough loss against the Andress Eagles, Coach Eric Pichardo still wanted his Austin Panthers to stick to their gameplan coming into their matchup against the Jefferson Silver Foxes. That gameplan worked this week as the Panthers pulled off a huge victory against the Foxes, 50-7.

With just a 1 minute and 11 seconds into the game, the Panthers jumped out to a quick 13-0 lead – a 30-yard TD run by Ethan Villa and a recovery by Kameron Walker on a Silver Fox muffed kickoff return, which he returned for a 3-yard TD. After that, the Panthers never looked back. The Panthers went into halftime with a commanding 37-0 lead. Villa rushed 7 times for 59 yards and 2 TDs. Isiah Witterstauter added to Austin’s rush attack, as he rushed 13 times for 136 yards. The Casa Nissan Player of the game was Kameron Walker, as he had 3 TDs on Special Teams, including 55-yard and 67-yard punt returns for TDs.

Next week, the Silver Foxes will host the Burges Mustangs at home. The Austin Panthers will travel to El Paso High to take on their rivals in the Battle of the Claw. Stay tuned to for the latest news on all of your favorite sports teams in the El Paso area.
