Three plays later, Junior QB Gabriel Herrera threw a 45 yard strike to Senior WR Khatib Lyles to put the Mats up 7-0 with 11:15 left to play in the 1st Quarter, Lyles first of two TDs in the 1st Quarter. Horizon was able to put to together drives with their use of two QBs, Sophomore Carlos Teran and Isaiah Quijas but could not find the end zone.
