Week One TownTalk Sports El Paso Player of the Week: Hanks’ Mykal Blanco & Americas’ Dylan Kemp

The excitement of the opening week of the high school football season, we couldn’t pick just one player after Hanks’ Mykal Blanco and Americas’ Dylan Kemp had huge days to open the season.

Blanco caught passes for 296 yards and five touchdowns, and also returned a 90-yard kickoff return for a score. His quarterback Aaron Molina threw six touchdowns in the game, and threw for 370 yards as Hanks beat Socorro 59-20.

Kemp, a defensive end, had six sacks in the first half of the Blazer’s 63-0 win over Eastwood. The Americas defense totaled 8.0 sacks on the night as they improve to 1-0.
