Americas runs past Coronado 51-0

EL PASO, Texas – Americas rolled over Coronado in a Friday afternoon tilt at the SAC.

Americas led 36-0 at halftime after a big first half which put this one away early.

Aaron Dumas had a pair of rushing touchdowns in the opening half, then Americas’ defensive back Freddy De La Torre picked off two passes including a pick six to make it 28-0 Blazers with 2:25 left until halftime.

Dylan Kemp recorded a tackle for loss in the second half which resulted in a safety as the rout was on at that point.

The win gives Americas a 4-0 district record and they will play Montwood for the outright district title next week to end the regular season.
